About the Course or Event:
We will be meeting at Partners In Print in their new digs and Fran Durako, Owner of Kelmscott Bookshop will be our guest speaker. FREE for members, small fee for nonmembers. The Seattle Antiquarian Book Fair is the same weekend so there will be ample bookish things to do in the area. Register here. The “No Kings” protest is scheduled for noon to 4pm at the Seattle Center and will likely involve many people. Partners In Print location is south of the Seattle Center and may not be heavily impacted by the participants. Guest Speaker Fran Durako, Owner of Kelmscott Bookshop
Fran Durako, owner
of Kelmscott Bookshop, a bibliophile who grew up in Indiana, was formerly the chief information officer for a large DC law firm. She purchased the Kelmscott Bookshop in 2003. An avid collector of books about the Pre-Raphaelites, William Morris, and private presses, it is quite appropriate that she bought a shop named after Morris's home and press. She and her husband, Steve, reside in Silver Spring.
